HerbaNerve | Calm & Focus Support

Sale price£105.00

The focused kind of calm.

A horse's calendar fills up fast — the lorry at dawn, a new yard, a first season out, vet-ordered box rest, or simply living somewhere something is always happening. HerbaNerve helps healthy horses maintain calmness and focus through all of it: passionflower, hops and chamomile alongside L-tryptophan, B vitamins, a live yeast and Hi Form's mineral tissue salts, in one concentrated formula fed by the gram, not the scoop.

What is HerbaNerve?

Calmness and focus — the two words that matter

A calmer that only aimed at quiet would be missing the point. A horse still has a job to do — a test to remember, a course to jump, a youngster's lessons to learn — and what every rider actually wants is a horse that can keep hold of its focus when the day gets big. That's the design brief HerbaNerve was formulated to: helping healthy horses maintain calmness and focus — at home, in training, on the road and on competition morning.

One formula, working as one

Passionflower, hops and chamomile — three botanicals with centuries of traditional use — alongside L-tryptophan (an essential amino acid, at 29,000mg per kilo), B vitamins at levels printed on the analysis, a live yeast digestibility enhancer, magnesium and Hi Form's signature mineral tissue salts. No star ingredient, no supporting cast: the formula was built as a whole, Hi Form's way since 1990. And because everything in the tub is concentrated and nothing is padding — crude ash sits at 0.5% — the daily rate is measured in single grams. Every ingredient is human grade and TGA-listed, with no fillers, artificial flavours or preservatives.

Clean sport, by design

Worth knowing before the lorry leaves: HerbaNerve contains no valerian — a herb that appears on equestrian prohibited-substances lists — and never has. It's made with batch traceability in a HACCP-certified, Feedsafe-accredited facility. Feed it daily as part of the ration, or bring it in around travel-heavy patches and the competition season — the label allows the rate to be doubled from two days before a big occasion. Competition day is exactly the day you can feed it.

The other half of the job: the ration

No supplement out-argues the feed bucket, so we'll say it plainly: HerbaNerve is designed to work alongside a low-starch, low-sugar, forage-first ration. Good forage in front of the horse for as much of the day as possible, no cereal-heavy mixes or molassed feeds, and oil if extra condition is needed. Get the ration right and everything else — routine, training, HerbaNerve — has something solid to stand on. If you'd like a second pair of eyes on yours, our free nutrition advice team will happily look it over.

What it does

Tap any benefit for the detail.

HerbaNerve helps maintain calmness and focus in healthy horses — because a settled horse that can also keep its mind on the job is the one every rider is actually asking for, at home and away.

The moments that fill a modern horse's diary are exactly what HerbaNerve is for. Feed it daily through busy seasons, and the label allows the rate to be doubled from two days before a big occasion, returning to normal afterwards.

Most horses need just 3–5g a day — half to one level spoon — because the formula is concentrated botanicals, vitamins and minerals with nothing padding it out. Crude ash: 0.5%. A 1.5kg tub at 3g a day lasts around 500 days.

No valerian — it appears on equestrian prohibited-substances lists — and full batch traceability from a HACCP-certified, Feedsafe-accredited facility. Our Clean Sport page has the whole story.

Thiamine (B1) and pantothenic acid at over 46,000mg per kilo, niacin and B6 behind them, L-tryptophan at 29,000mg — not a dusting, and never a secret. Turn the tub around; it's all there.

HerbaNerve works best alongside a low-starch, low-sugar, forage-first ration and a steady routine. It pairs naturally with Oxydane — the Calm & Concentration Collection bundles the two — and our free nutrition advice team will help you get the whole picture right.

Comparing joint supplements? Read the labels together

Two tubs can both say 'joint support' and contain very different things. Our advice is the same as ever: turn them around. Three things to compare — what's actually added, how concentrated the extracts are, and what a day costs at the recommended feed rate.

Key bio-available ingredients

Passionflower (Passiflora incarnata)A climbing vine with centuries of traditional use in European herbal practice — one of three botanicals chosen to work as a team, not a solo act.
Hops (Humulus lupulus)The same cones the brewery buys, in feed-room form — a classical herb with a very long traditional pedigree.
Chamomile (Chamaemelum nobile)The herb your grandmother kept in the caddy, and a Hi Form favourite — it appears in BioEquus Gold too.
L-TryptophanAn essential amino acid — one a horse can't make and must get from the diet — included at 29,000mg per kilo and printed on the analysis.
B vitamins (B1, B3, B5, B6) B vitamins (B1, B3, B5, B6)Not a dusting: thiamine and pantothenic acid at over 46,000mg per kilo each, with niacin and B6 alongside — levels you can check on the label.

When does my horse need HerbaNerve in their feed bucket?

The moments it was made for...

  • Show mornings, when you'd like everyone's brain in the arena
  • Clipping, dentist and farrier days
  • Travel — especially the horse who arrives with the engine running
  • Box rest, and the energy that has nowhere to go
  • Fireworks season, busy yards, and a young horse's first outings

What it actually costs

From 55p a day. At 3g a day, a 1.5kg tub lasts around 500 days — you'll buy roughly one tub every sixteen months. At the full 5g it's 92p a day, and the 500g tub is a sensible first purchase at around 100–165 days.

Either way, a day of HerbaNerve costs less than the coffee you'd buy at the first fuel stop on the way to a show — for a formula that travels with you all season.

Could we make it cheaper? Easily — we'd just put less in. The feed rate is measured in single grams precisely because the formula is concentrated botanicals, vitamins and minerals with no bulking agents — 0.5% crude ash and nothing along for the ride. If budgets are tight, ask the free nutrition advice team what your horse actually needs; they'll tell you honestly, even when the answer is the cheaper one.

Available in 500g, 1.5kg and 3kg tubs, or a monthly subscription pouch. Feeding several? The 3kg tub works out under 50p a day.
