What is EquiSoy?
One ingredient, chosen properly
EquiSoy is 100% full-fat soy flour: Australian-grown soy beans, debittered for taste, milled to a fine flour, and produced to oral grade — the standard applied to food for people, not the one applied to feed. It's rich in protein and essential amino acids, with the bean's omega 3, 6 and 9 oils still naturally in place. No hulls, no fillers, no second ingredient.
Know your soy — flour is not meal
Most of the soy a horse ever meets is soybean meal: what remains of the bean after the oil has been pressed out for other uses, ground and sold into the feed trade. Nothing sinister about that — it's a perfectly ordinary feed ingredient doing a perfectly ordinary job. It's just not this. EquiSoy is the whole bean with its oil still in — which is exactly where the omega 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids live — held to oral (human-consumption) grade rather than feed grade. 'Full-fat' on our label isn't a flourish; it's the difference between the whole bean and what's left of one.
Where it fits in the bucket

Soy is one of the best plant proteins there is — a strong spread of the essential amino acids a horse can't make for himself, including lysine, the one forage-based diets most often run short of. EquiSoy supplies it as a single, traceable, Australian-grown ingredient.
Topline comes from correct work shaped by good feeding — no tub does it alone. EquiSoy provides the protein and essential amino acids that support muscle condition and topline in horses in work, so the schooling has something to work with.
Full-fat means the bean's natural oils are still in the flour — omegas 3, 6 and 9 — alongside useful energy density. Together they help maintain condition and a glossy coat, which is generally the first place good feeding shows.
Raw soy has a bitter edge; ours is debittered, which turns it into something horses genuinely enjoy. Plenty of customers use a scoop of EquiSoy to make the rest of the bucket disappear too.

What it actually costs
From 75p a day. A 5kg tub is £75 — 1.5p a gram — so a 300kg pony at 50g gets 100 days from a tub, and a 500kg horse at the full 100g gets 50 days at £1.50 a day. As conditioning support goes, that's genuinely economical: less than a coffee, for the protein quality a topline is asking for.
Could we make it cheaper? Only by swapping the whole bean for what's left of one — and then it wouldn't be EquiSoy.

Usually not. Bagged feeds generally use soybean meal — a feed-grade ingredient made from what remains of the bean after the oil is extracted. EquiSoy is the whole debittered bean, full-fat, milled to flour and produced to oral (human-consumption) grade. Same plant, different ingredient — and the natural omega oils are the difference you can see in the coat.
They're teammates, not rivals.
